Arts Committee

• Arts didn't meet in July, but we initiated our Arts on the Lawn (Congregate to Create) with a handful of people who showed up to chat and paint stones. A dedicated group continues to attend every Wednesday and a few newcomers interested in an evening's specific event also attend.

• The committee sought further instruction for filling posting for a temporary Children, Youth and Family Minister.

• With a good number of people away and no pressing items, we decided to not meet in August. Our first meeting will be on September 9th.

Spiritual Nurture Committee

• Beacon on Dementia - 

  this will need to be a focus of our planning going forward.  Possible supports include assisting with online connection, driving people to in-person meetings and finding new spiritual nurture opportunities that go beyond education and discussion.
• Interfaith study - Looked at the possibility of a speaker to introduce and highlight different faith.  This would likely be through a Zoom meeting. Will continue connecting with the Hizmet community that reached out to our congregation with meals.
• Bible Studies - will continue on Wednesday afternoon focusing on upcoming Sunday readings until after Christmas. Then plan to do a more formal study.
• Parenting Course - Ten weeks starting on Thursday after Thanksgiving at 8:00 pm on zoom. “10 principles of spiritual parenting “.
