Minister of Community Development Report | Deborah Laing, Minister of Community Development
- Along with her report, Deborah thanked the people and committees of this church for their kindness and consolation offered in the death of her father in Toronto.
- Deborah and Maggie Enwright will attend the Pacific Mountain Region annual meeting in June by Zoom.
- Hospital visiting has been reinstituted.
Arts Committee | Heather Swallow, Chair
- Arts installed a BEYOND theme for Lent with a PIE Day addition. Now that restrictions are being lifted, we must remember to check the calendar to ensure installations don't get in the way of choirs and events!
- April 22 is confirmed for the Resurrection Coffee House. Tickets are free through Eventbrite.

May 5th is Red Dress Day which honours the missing/murdered First Nations Women and Girls and Two-Spirit People. Maggie has commemorative pins for sale.
Carmen Lansdowne has been recommended for the position of Moderator of the United Church.

Spiritual Nurture Committee | Chris Epting, Chair
- Study group for A New Climate for Christology: Kenosis, Climate Change, and Befriending Nature by Sallie McFague will be led by Janet Cawley throughout May.
Trustees | Doug Smart, Chair
- One more trustee will be needed for the committee after the current membership terms end in June.
Worship Committee | Merrilee Thompson, Chair
Easter Sunday Service- 123 people were registered through Eventbrite for worship. 11 people did not appear, so the total number of worshipers was 112 In addition, we had a number musicians, choir members, presiders and other staff.
- Worship protocols- Some of our Covid protocols are being relaxed, including hand sanitizing, while we will retain required masking, 50% capacity and one way pathways into the sanctuary. For the time being, communion will be virtual.
Visioning Report-the Worship Committee will host a “Creative Minds” session in the fall to involve interested congregation members in a discussion exploring possibilities for worshipping in new, creative ways in the next few years. A subcommittee of Worship is exploring how we might safely offer in-person communion
